Senior point guard Dondre Duffus has committed to St. Petersburg College and Head Coach Earnest Crumbley. The 6’2 Boyd Anderson product averaged 15 points and 5 assists per game for the Cobras who made a run to the state semifinals in Lakeland before losing to eventual champion Oviedo.

One of the top remaining 2014 prospects came off the board on Tuesday when North Broward Prep’s Sasmis Reyes signed with Hawaii. The 6’6 senior averaged 17 points and 12 rebounds last season and was an All-Borward County selection. Reyes also considered Fairfield, Long Beach State and others.
Boyd Anderson senior Rodney Simeon has signed with Tennessee State following a senior season where he helped lead the Cobras to final four appearance in Lakeland. The 6’6 atheltic wing averaged 15 points and 5.5 rebounds per game last season.
Wekiva senior Willie Carmichael has signed with Tenneessee and new Head Coach Donnie Tyndall. The 6’8 power forward had previously signed with Southern Miss but was granted a release after the coaching change.
Our 25th ranked prospect in the 2014 class, Carmichael helped Wekiva to a 25-5 record and was named Class 7A Player of the Year. He becomes the fifth member of the Volunteers’ recruiting class.
One of the top remaining 2014 prospects came of the board over the weekend when Orlando Christian Prep senior Dmitri Thompson committed to Elon University.
The 6’4 All-State performer becomes the 4th member of OCP’s senior class to sign with a Division I program and Thompson will be joining the Phoenix in their inaugural season in the Colonial Athletic Association next season.
Georgia native and Montverde Academy center Noah Dickerson gave a verbal commitment to Georgetown on Saturday. The 6’8 junior is our #4 ranked prospect in the 2015 class and was a member of Montverde Academy’s win at the Dick’s Sporting Goods High School National Tournament back in April. Dickerson also considered Ohio State, Virginia, Alabama and others.
Former Tulsa signee, Mitchell Wilbekin has signed with Wake Forest and new Head Coach Danny Manning. The 6’1 lead guard was named SIAA Player of the Year this past season after averaging over 16 points per game.
Another senior from Miami Norland’s state championship team is headed to a Division I program. This time it is 6’3 guard Larry McKnight who has signed with Wofford. The senior averaged nearly 8 points and 5 rebounds per game for the Vikings last season.
One of the fastest rising prospect in the 2014 class, Ransom Everglades senior Trey Mourning has given a verbal commitment to Georgetown. The 6’9 forward averaged 29 points and 10 rebounds per game last season and was a First Team All-State selection.
