Brown to the Wildcats

Gibbs senior Barry Brown announced a verbal commitment to Kansas State on Wednesday night. The high scoring combo guard averaged 20.5 points per game last season and chose KSU over Houston, Wichita St and Texas A&M.

Fort Myers Wing to Wilmington

Fort Myers senior Mark Matthews ended his recruitment over the weekend with a commitment to UNC-Wilmington following an official visit to the Colonial Athletic Association school. The 6’6 wing averaged over 21 points per game last season for Head Coach Scott Guttery and chose the Seahawks before making scheduled official visits to George Mason, Elon, Northeastern and High Point.

Johnson Selects the Spiders

Florida Air Academy guard Julius Johnson came off the board on Thursday with a verbal pledge to the Richmond Spiders. The 6’3 guard was also considering UCF and Virginia Tech. Johnson averaged 26 points per game last season for Head Coach Aubin Goporo.

Montverde Big Man to the Gators

Former Georgetown pledge Noah Dickerson is now headed to play for Head Coach Billy Donovan and the Florida Gators after a verbal commitment on Monday. The Georgia native who plays at Montverde Academy is a 6’8 post player who also considered LSU, Georgia Tech and Washington.

Sagemont senior guard Prince Ali came off the board with a verbal commitment to UCLA. The 6’4 high scoring guard was a First Team All-Broward County selection last season. Ali had previously committed to UConn.

Oak Ridge senior Alex Owens gave a verbal commitment to Providence College on Monday. The 6’8 power forward who had previously pledged to UCF, also had interest from programs such as Louisville, Maryland and Florida.

Moemeka to Wyoming

Oldsmar Christian forward Andrew Moemeka became the second member of Wyoming’s 2015 recruiting class after a verbal pledge on Tuesday. The athletic, 6’8 senior made his decision following an official visit to the Laramie campus and chose the Cowboys over Georgia Southern, North Florida, Kennesaw State and others.

Adel Chooses the Cardinals

One of the fastest rising prospects in the 2015 class gave a verbal commitment on Monday when senior Deng Adel chose the Louisville Cardinals. The skilled, 6’7 small forward is a native of the Sudan and averaged 22 points per game last season at Victory Rock Prep.

Monsignor Pace point guard CJ Fisher decided to not waste any more time with his recruitment and gave a verbal pledge to the North Florida Ospreys on the eve of the NCAA’s July Evaluation Period. The First Team All-Dade County selection last season averaged 21 points and over 6 rebounds per game.

Wright to San Francisco
