Rising junior Kevarrius Hayes of Suwannee HS became the first member of Florida’s 2015 class to make his college decision when the 6’9 forward gave a verbal pledge to Head Coach Billy Donovan and the Florida Gators.
Hayes averaged 11.3 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks per game for Head Coach Jeremy Ulmer last season and made his decision following an unofficial visit to the Gainesville campus last week.

Spring Hill College has announced the signing of 6’7 forward Brendan Mooney of Lake Brantley. The senior averaged 15 points and seven rebounds per game last season for Head Coach Mike Cuff.
Mooney was a first team Seminole Athletic Conference selection and a SAC All-Academic Team member.

Wesley Chapel senior Erik Thomas signed with East Georgia State on Tuesday afternoon. The 6’5 forward earned North Suncoast player of the year honors after averaging 33 points and 16 rebounds per game.
Thomas was also an All-State selection and was named Class 5A player of the year. The senior was recruited by Seattle, Saint Leo, East Tennessee State and Coffeyville (KS) before making his decision.

Our #2 ranked prospect in the 2014 class is off the board following the commitment of Montverde Academy’s D’Angelo Russell to Ohio State. The high scoring guard who is a native of Louisville, KY, chose the Buckeyes over Louisville, Michigan State and North Carolina.
Russell becomes fourth member of Ohio State’s 2014 recruiting class and is the fifth prospect from Florida’s 2014 class to pledge to a college destination.
