Hoop Mountain Junior Elite Showcase Part II
In Part II of our event review, we evaluate the second half of the standouts in the 2014 class. Wednesday's Part III will highlight the rising 7th and 8th grade prospects that were in attendance.
David Bargamento (5’6 - 2014 - Miami): Quick point guard, high basketball IQ, good with the ball, finds open teammates, improved strength will aid his development.
Jarod Bargaineer (5’10 - 2014 - Orlando): Athletic, solid shooter, improving offensive skill set, good in the open floor, active on the glass.
Marvin Biggins (5’10 - 2014 - Tallahassee): Quick, tough, PG, solid shooter, can create his own shot.
Kyle Brown (6’0 - 2014 – Winter Park): Good size guard, gives good effort on both ends, makes the right play to help his team.
Michael Clark (6’6 - 2014 - Tampa): Great length, solid rebounder, improving offensive skill set, good motor, runs the floor well for his size, shot blocker.
Chivarsky Corbett (6’4 - 2014 - Tampa): Smooth, agile, can get into the lane and finish over bigger defenders, solid shooter, versatile, works on the defensive end.
Vosean Crumbie (6’0 - 2014 - Tallahassee): Quick, solid guard, midrange shooter, aggressive on the offensive end, tough defender.
Bernard Edwards (5’10 - 2014 - Fort Myers): Versatile, quick combo guard, good defender, makes teammates better.
Barry Johnson (6’2 - 2014 - Gainesville): Tough, strong, great hands and feet, good touch around the rim, rebounds, Charles Barkley of the 2014 class.
Zach Johnson (5’10 - 2014 - Miramar): High scoring, super athletic combo guard, diverse on the offensive end, smart defender.
Jonathan Joseph (6’3 - 2014 - Orlando): Long, lanky, very athletic, developing offensive skill set, good upside.
Richard Lee (6’2 - 2014 – Fort Lauderdale): Tremendous young prospect, true scoring guard, improved strength, finishes in the lane, competes on every possession, determined and focused to reach him limitless potential.
Keandre Mais (5’11 - 2014 - Miramar): Great length, makes plays on both ends, active defensively.
Justin Massey (5’10 - 2014 - Cooper City): Solid combo guard, great feel for the game, can score in a variety of ways, future lead guard.
Tate Morse (6’0 - 2014 - Maitland): Good length, very good shooter, solid passer.
Reggie Oliver (5’10 - 2014 - Orlando): Improved quickness, very skilled offensively, crafty finisher in the lane, can really shoot it from beyond the arc.
Omar Outer (5’6 - 2014 - Tamarac): Smart, quick guard, sees the floor, agile in the lane on penetration, good defender.
Mikael Simon (5’10 - 2014 - Spring Hill): Quick, solid with the ball, tough, plays hard, improving shooter.
Jaquan Strawder (6’1 - 2014 - Gainesville): Tough wing, midrange shooter, rebounds from perimeter, good defender.
BJ Taylor (5’8 - 2014 - Orlando): Above average shooter, crafty, high basketball IQ, good strength for position.
Deandre Turner (6’1 - 2014 - Orlando): Strong, slashing, versatile forward. Finishes in the lane, rebounds on both ends, bright future.
