Hoop Mountain Junior Elite Showcase Part III

In Part III of our event review, we evaluate the prospects in the 2015 and 2016 classes.

 

 

Gregory Alexandrea (5’0 - 2016 - Bradenton):  Quick, skilled guard, good feel for the game, solid passer.

Antonio Blackeney (6’1 - 2015 - Sarasota): Athletic, long, fast and effective in the open floor, mid-range shooter.

Hannif Cheatham (6’2 - 2015 - Miami): Long, lanky, skilled wing. Can really score the ball, sees the floor and makes his teammates better. Runs the floor well and gets on the glass. Terrific young player with an old school game.

Khalil Cleckley (5’9 - 2015 - Orlando): Did a good job of filling the stat sheet, solid shooter, rebounds at both ends, set screens for teammates, effective passer, good athlete with a quick first step.

Christian Clinton (5’7 - 2015 - Ocala): Athlete with a quick first step, scored well around the rim, has the ability to make his teammates better.

Jordan Coblin (5’4 - 2015 - Boca Raton): Finds open teammates, effective scorer in the lane and can finish with both hands.

Tyrone Dennis (5’2 - 2015 - Pembroke Pines): Solid ball handler, good court awareness, alert for steals and open teammates.

Tracey Evans (5’8 - 2015 - Hallandale Beach): Tough, quick, very good shooter, great footwork on the perimeter, high basketball IQ.

Elijah Farley (5’8 - 2015 - Orlando): Creative finisher and distributer, sees the court well and gets the ball to teammates at the right time, good on-ball defender, mid-range shooter.

Andrew Fleming (6’1 - 2015 - Jacksonville): Extremely skilled, great length, high basketball IQ, has the ability to create his own offense and find open teammates, very efficient footwork on the perimeter, bright future.

Malik Foy (5’8 - 2016 - Orlando): Strong, touch, solid guard, handles the ball well, sees the court and hits his teammates for baskets, has a nice looking shot out to the arc.

Jordan Gaskins (5’8 - 2015 - Tallahassee): Super quick with a great command of the basketball, finds open teammates and is a proven shooter.

Derrick Graham (6’2 - 2015 - Gainesville): Developing big man, good length, improving skill set, rebounds, has a great upside.

Michael Greene (5’7 - 2015 - Miramar): Quick, athletic, active on the defensive end, plays hard, good length, improving shooter, heady point guard.

Dimitri Harper (5’7 - 2015 - Pembroke Pines): Quick, tough combo guard, efficient on both ends of the floor, finds open teammates.

Matthew Hein (5’4 - 2015 - Windermere): Heady guard, good with the ball and a solid shooter, can finish over bigger players.

Julius Johnson (6’0 - 2015 – Coconut Creek): Very impressive all weekend, highly skilled, makes the game look easy, can score in a variety of ways, high basketball IQ.

Damien Jones (6’2 - 2015 - Orlando): Shot blocker in the lane, great length, showed some signs of a perimeter skill set, runs the floor well, good hands and feet.

Jacknelson Joseph (6’1 - 2015 - North Miami): Super athlete, improving skill set, rebounds, runs the floor, scores on the break, big upside.

Winston Joseph (5’11 - 2015 - Orlando): Has only been playing basketball a short time; very athletic and plays hard; does his best work on the glass and in transition.

James Labadi (5’9 - 2015 – Fort Lauderdale): Quick, strong combo guard, effective in transition.

Matthew Milon (6’3 - 2015 - Winter Springs): Very skilled and has a great feel for the game, good rebounder at both ends, finishes well around the rim, can knock down open shots out to arc, runs the floor, can put ball on floor to score.

David Moya (5’5 - 2015 - Plantation): Tough, was very good in transition, impressed with a baseline floater in traffic.

Harvey Myers (5’7 - 2016 - Plantation): Quick, great with the basketball, has a great ability to improve his teammates, solid mid-range shooter.

Jason Oboh (5’9 - 2016 - Miramar): Good size and length, solid midrange shooter, effective in transition.

Edward Porter (6’4 - 2015 - Hawthorne): Dominant force inside, blocked shots, rebounds at both ends, and showed a post move or two; runs the floor well.

Eric Turner (6’5 - 2015 - Gainesville): Very long, decent ball skills and solid vertical athleticism, improving perimeter shooter, can rebound and run all day and passes the ball quite well.

Keoni Wallington (5’8 - 2015 - Melbourne): Solid player but not flashy, handles the ball efficiently, hits teammates for open shots, plays under control and finds every which way to score the ball.

Andrew Wilbekin (5’4 - 2016 - Gainesville): High basketball IQ, plays at his own pace, solid ball handler, shooter, and defender, displayed a nice floater and ability to finish in the lane.

Damon Williams (5’4 - 2016 - Jacksonville): Solid ball-handler, at his best when looking for teammates and taking his own open shots, mid-range shooter.

Courtney Williamson (6’1 - 2015 - Orlando): Great length and size for a guard at this age, skill developing a sense for the game, but has a bright future. Very effective in the open floor and can make plays for himself and others in the lane.

Cedric Wright (6’6 - 2015 - Fort Lauderdale): Very strong developing big man, good length, very good athlete, effective around the rim, has some basic post moves, runs the floor well, very good rebounder and shot blocker.
